thoughtfully designed, simply built, wildly abundant landscapes

Foraging culture: we are a regenerative landscape design practice working to transcend the way we interact and think about land, returning to our horticultural roots in our own unique and distinct ways.

For a culture: We are helping to build resilient systems and places that facilitate and strengthen our relationships to land, food, health, and each other.

We are dedicated to finding ways of rebuilding connections and deepening our relationships to the most elemental things - land, fire, water, plants, food, medicine.

Design is our way of giving back, an act of reciprocity

Our practice is based in what is now known as the southern Maine coast with a small studio space, homestead, and nursery. We are a small, interdisciplinary team of landscape architects, architects, designers, and planners weaving horticulture, art, building, planning, outdoor education, permaculture, and agriculture together into a holistic practice.

We plant, garden, forage, grow, farm, sketch, craft, play and design from a place that is based on our own direct, hands-on experience.
