About
Foraculture is based on the Southern Maine Coast, with a small studio space in historic York Village and a homestead and nursery in Cape Neddick.
We are a small, interdisciplinary team of landscape architects, architects, designers, and planners.
The practice was founded by Cornelius Murphy who grew up in coastal New England and spent the early part of his career as a journeyman through the fields of landscape architecture, horticulture, art, planning, outdoor education, permaculture, and agriculture. Our work weaves all of these wonderfully loose threads together into a holistic practice.
We plant, garden, forage, grow, farm, sketch, build, play and generally aim to design from a place that is based on our own direct, hands-on experience. We like to keep our hands dirty and feet firmly on the ground.
Contact
We are a small, young and (like all other living things) ever evolving business. We will have more details about our work, projects, and much more soon. If you'd like to know when that happens, or (even better) if you would like to work with us, give a shout.
When we're not in the studio, you can try to find us off the backside of Mt. Agementicus and a stone's throw from the beach.
Thanks for visiting.
